Sonnet 4
2025-01-31
Heroic a figure you do maintain:
so tall, and strong, yet soft and welcoming;
A jaw set broad climbing to a dark mane,
bushy brows canopy eyes green sparkling.
Many have fought to see the face you hide,
few comprehend that bound soul 'neath the mask:
In art you seek freedom, in me confide -
brush, film, pen, rope - furtive a nod I ask.
Superman when your shirt is unbuttoned/
my polyglot lover when brils are on;
House of Flaming Jelly, heir be summoned,
accompany yours true on this sojourn:
from Amsterdam to Nice, even Sydney,
my cheek against your pec our whole journey.
